Purpose
The purpose of the program is to increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance of physicians who are performing nuclear imaging studies and who are preparing for (re)certification in nuclear cardiology or are interested in general practice improvement.
Target Audience
This program is designed for physicians who are performing nuclear imaging studies and who are preparing for (re)certification in nuclear cardiology, or for practitioners who are interested in general practice improvement.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the 2010 Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course are to enable participants to:
- Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with nuclear imaging
- Explain image acquisition and processing, including artifacts
- Describe risk stratification
- Integrate radiation safety standards into professional practice
- Discuss the use of nuclear imaging in assessment of viability
- Interpret perfusion images, including PET and ventricular function imaging
- Utilize perfusion imaging in the assessment, diagnosis, and response to therapy in CAD patients and special populations
Accreditation and Continuing Education Credit
Physicians The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 23.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
Technologists The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of continuing education credit for technologists. ASNC's Continuing Education (ACE) credit is accepted by NMTCB and ARRT.
This course has been approved for a maximum of 18 ACE credits for technologists.

Payment must accompany your registration, and you will receive an e-mail confirmation. The registration fee includes electronic program syllabus materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, and refreshments.

Course Materials
ASNC is pleased to provide online access to all syllabus materials at no additional charge to attendees. This full-size, full-color set of slides is available for your review approximately three weeks prior to the course. All registered attendees will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access the syllabus on September 8, 2010.
Attendees may download the syllabus prior to the course and are encouraged to bring their laptop in order to access the syllabus during the course. If an attendee prefers a printed syllabus, they can print it from the online version or pre-order one from ASNC for an additional fee. Each participant is asked to select their syllabus preference during the registration process. Pre-ordered syllabi will be available for pick-up on site.

Meeting on Demand Session Recording
ASNC is pleased to offer a new online resource for attendees of the Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course. This digital library of presentations will be captured at the live course and includes audio lectures synchronized with the presentation slides. Individuals who purchase the Meeting on Demand will receive a CD that will provide secure, online access to the program. The session recordings will be available for online viewing approximately four weeks after the live program.
Attendees may pre-order the Meeting on Demand Session Recordings for $100 as part of their meeting registration. The recordings will be available for on-site purchase for $150 and after the meeting for $200.
Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations received by July 31, 2010 will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. Between July 31 and August 31, 2010, a $75 administrative fee will apply. No refunds will be given after August 31, 2010 or for no shows. In the unlikely event that the program is cancelled, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology will refund the registration fee in full but is not responsible for any hotel or travel costs you may incur.
