Nuclear Cardiology Foundation Research Award Program

The 2010 Research Award application period is now closed.

The Nuclear Cardiology Foundation Research Award program intends to help fellows-in-training, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty initiate a career in nuclear cardiology research.  Awards are meant to support research training in basic scientific research and clinical/translational research in nuclear cardiology and its related fields such as cardiac molecular imaging, cardiovascular computed tomography (CVCT), cardiac PET, cardiac CT, or PET/CT.

The Nuclear Cardiology Foundation will fund awards for amounts up to $30,000 each for one year.

Due Dates and Review Process
Applications must be submitted for review by 4:00 p.m. ET on April 9, 2010. Awards will be announced by June 1, 2010, and the grants will be awarded on July 2, 2010.  All applications will be reviewed by the Research Grants Committee on the quality and potential of the applicant and mentor, research environment, scientific merit, originality, relevance of the work to nuclear cardiology and relevant fields, the potential for the project to generate data for a successful peer-reviewed grant application, and the potential for the Principal Investigator to develop into an independent investigator.
