One of the goals of the Nuclear Cardiology Foundation is to encourage new basic and clinical research in order to advance the field of nuclear cardiology. The Foundation is pleased to offer several research award programs throughout the year to support investigators in their important work.
Nuclear Cardiology Foundation Research Award Program
The Nuclear Cardiology Foundation Research Award program intends to help individuals initiate a career in nuclear cardiology research or develop a research program early in their academic careers. Awards are meant to support research training in basic scientific research and clinical/translational research in nuclear cardiology and its related fields such as cardiac molecular imaging, cardiovascular computed tomography (CVCT), cardiac PET, cardiac CT, or PET/CT.
Pilot & Feasibility Research Projects
This program provides research support to test innovative hypotheses involving research in nuclear cardiology and its related fields such as cardiac molecular imaging, cardiac PET, cardiac CT, or PET/CT. It is hoped that a Pilot & Feasibility award will generate enough preliminary data for an investigator to obtain research funding by conventional mechanisms.
