CT Board Exam Preparation Online

ASNC is pleased to offer an online resource for physicians preparing for certification exams in cardiovascular computed tomography. This digital library of presentations captured at the ASNC CT Board Exam Preparation Course held April 17 - 18, 2009 in Philadelphia includes audio from the live course synchronized with the presentation slides.

Individuals who purchase the CT Board Exam Preparation Online course will receve a CD in the mail that will provide secure, online access to the program. Individuals will login to the program using the key code located on the packaging of the CD.

Important Note: CME credit is not available for these online presentations. This online activity was released July 1, 2009 and will expire on December 31, 2010.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the CT Board Exam Preparation Online course is to enable participants to:

Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with cardiac CT
List the biological hazards of radiation
Explain image acquisition and processing, including artifacts
Discuss the use of CT in the assessment of coronary artery disease
Interpret CT images, including coronaries, bypass grafts, and non-coronary findings
Discuss outcome data that supports the use of calcium scoring and CT coronary angiography

Program Content

The 18 lectures cover a wide variety of topics, including radiation and radiation safety, imaging protocols, coronary vessels, and non-cardiac findings. Mock exams that were presented at the live course are available for users to evaluate their understanding of the material.

This online course does not offer CME credit.

Program Fee

The CT Board Exam Preparation Online course is $300 for ASNC members and $400 for non-members. Upon purchasing the course, individuals will receive a CD in the mail that will provide secure online access to the program.
